Fiery start to Pitch’d festival at Cork's Marina Park

This year's Pitch'd festival sparks off with a fire show at Marina Park.

As night falls this Friday, the Marina Park will spark to life with a free community fire show, celebrating the launch of Circus Factory’s Pitch’d circus and street arts festival 2025.

The fire show marks the start of a week-long festival celebrating circus and street arts in Cork city.

Alongside high-energy performances in the Circus Factory on Centre Park Rd, the programme includes a photo exhibition showcasing the company’s journey, alongside a free family-friendly circus picnic at Elizabeth Fort.

Now in its eighth year, the festival builds to spectacular showcases, including the Pitch’d Festival Gala which features aerial, hula hoop, pole and more on Sunday, August 24, and the premiere of Birds by international collective Kundle Cru at The Everyman on Wednesday, August 27.

Emerging artists (August 28) will also take centre stage with fresh, fearless performances before the festival closes with an intimate Scratch Night on Friday, August 29.
