Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision on the N25.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision involving a pedestrian and a car in Midleton on Thursday night.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision on the N25 at Dunsfort, Midleton, which occurred at approximately 11.05pm. Gardaí at Midleton Garda Station are appealing for witnesses.

Elsewhere, a man in his 40s was hospitalised as a precaution yesterday following a two-vehicle collision in Crookstown, near the Cork to Killarney road.

Meanwhile, there were tailbacks following a collision on the N40 between Junction 10 (Mahon) and Junction 11 (Dunkettle) yesterday. The incident was cleared by late afternoon.
