The baritone singer who performed at Cork venues The Everyman and Opera House during his career, died in London this week.
Renowned Cork operatic singer Joe Corbett passes away

The death has been announced of Joe Corbett, an operatic singer originally from Churchfield, who passed away on Thursday after an illness.

The baritone singer performed at Cork venues The Everyman and Opera House over his career, and studied at Cork School of Music as well as the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London and the Royal Irish Academy, Dublin.

His family shared on RIP.ie this morning: “It is with deep sorrow and heartbreak that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Joe Corbett (Opera Singer), in London after an illness, bravely borne.” 

added that the funeral will take place in Cork, with funeral arrangements to be announced later.
