Two members of Macroom Fire and Rescue Service will be taking part in a four-day charity cycle this September in aid of the charity Aoibheann's Pink Tie.

David O’Leary and Aidan O’Driscoll will set off on their journey from Newscastlewest in Co Limerick on September 7 and they will finish up in Kinsale on September 11.

The route over the few days will also take them to places such as Dingle, Killarney, Schull and Skibbereen.

Aoibheann's Pink Tie aims to provide practical and financial support to children suffering from cancer in Ireland and their families.
