Attractions over the weekend will include a headline set by singer-songwriter Mundy, live cookery demos, and more than 800 competition classes livestock, equestrian, crafts, and horticulture.

Final preparations for the 2025 Cork Summer Show, which takes place at the Curraheen Showgrounds this coming weekend, are well underway.

With more than 40,000 people expected to attend, there are over 200 events and attractions scheduled as part of the programme for the show this year. This consists of farming, food, live entertainment and family fun over the Father’s Day weekend.

There will be a headline set by singer-songwriter Mundy on the main stage from 2-3pm on Sunday, while also featuring will be live cookery demos from TikTok star Edgar Kirby, Orla McAndrew, and The Culinary Celt Cathy Fitzgibbon.

Cornerstone

Organised by the Munster Agricultural Society, which celebrates its 220th anniversary this year, the Cork Summer Show is a cornerstone of Ireland’s agricultural and cultural calendar.

There are over 800 competition classes across livestock, equestrian, crafts, horticulture, and food.

The official charity partner for the show this year is My Canine Companion, who provide accredited autism service dogs to children and families across Ireland.

Families can explore thekids zone and funfair, enjoy creative workshops, puppet shows, remote control racing and martial arts demos.

The Field of Dreams project, run by Down SyndromeCork, return again. Meanwhile, there will also be a relax space available, offering a calm, inclusive area for families.

Shuttle buses

Free shuttle buses will be in operation throughout the weekend from Ballincollig Shopping Centre, Black Ash Park & Ride and Curraheen Greyhound Stadium. There will also be an extended Bus Éireann 208 route in operation directly to the Showgrounds.

Gerard Murphy, president of the Munster Agricultural Society, said there is a mood of excitement ahead of the Cork Summer Show.

“For over 200 years, the show has been a proud celebration of Cork’s farming heritage and community spirit and that tradition is stronger than ever.”
