A new fast food restaurant has opened in Macroom and the owner has thanked the local community for its support.
Located on Castle Street in the mid-Cork town, and in the building formerly occupied by Val’s Takeaway, Sea Salt provides a variety of takeaway options for customers.
Speaking to The Echo, Sea Salt owner Arshed Ali said he is delighted with local support for the new business.
“We have really appreciated all of our customers and the Macroom community have been very cooperative.
“What we are trying to do is to do everything fresh. We are using all local farmers and our fish we are getting from West Cork.
“So, we are trying to use all local products and bring the best quality in town.
“The reaction so far has been very positive from the Macroom community. We are very thankful.”
