The Cork Summer Show has announced that My Canine Companion will be the official charity partner for the 2025 event.

Cliona O’Rourke, the founder of My Canine Companion, welcomed the partnership with the Cork Summer Show.

“We are thrilled to be named the official charity partner for the 2025 Cork Summer Show. This platform offers a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness about the life changing work our service dogs do every day. The show’s strong focus on accessibility and inclusivity makes it the perfect setting to highlight how autism service dogs can empower children and families to engage more confidently with the world around them.”

Gerard Murphy, the president of the Munster Agricultural Society, said that My Canine Companion is reflective of what the Cork Summer Show stands for.

“My Canine Companion changes lives across Ireland and we are honoured to support their incredible work at this year’s show,” he said.

“We believe this partnership will resonate deeply with our visitors, many of whom understand the powerful role animals play in human lives. We would like to extend our deepest thanks to all those who donated and contributed to the [society’s] annual fundraiser ball.”

This year’s Cork Summer Show returns to the Munster Agricultural Society Showgrounds in Curraheen, Bishopstown, on Saturday June 14 and Sunday June 15. Early bird tickets are now available, with a full programme of events and competition classes to be announced at corksummershow.com.
