Cork Opera House has announced a new partnership with national coach operator Aircoach.

At a gala event held on Saturday, attended by An Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Cork Opera House announced that Aircoach will be the official travel partner for the venue’s 170th anniversary.

Cork Opera House CEO Eibhlín Gleeson said that the partnership marks an “exciting” collaboration between the two organisations.

“Aircoach plays a vital role in connecting people across Ireland, and we are thrilled to work together to enhance accessibility to Cork Opera House,” said Ms Gleeson.

“As we celebrate this milestone year, we look forward to a strong and successful partnership with Aircoach, ensuring that audiences and visitors continue to experience the very best in arts and entertainment at the heart of Cork.”

Aircoach marketing manager Emily Dover said: “We’re delighted to partner with Cork Opera House as their official travel partner for their momentous 170th year. Supporting such a historic and iconic cultural institution aligns perfectly with our commitment to connecting people to the best experiences Ireland has to offer.

“We look forward to making travel to and from Cork Opera House seamless and enjoyable for audiences near and far.”

Aircoach operates 36 daily services from Cork to Dublin Airport, with further routes available to and from Dublin city centre, Dublin South, Belfast, and Derry.

Cork Opera House partnerships and development manager Laura Noonan said: “Commercial support from sponsors like Aircoach directly facilitates our ability to programme a more ambitious catalogue of entertainment to fortify access, enterprise, and more for the wider community.

“We are thrilled to have Aircoach on board across our 170th year as we work together to connect the community to a cultural sector that is meaningful, inclusive, and compelling.”
