'Check your tickets': Lotto player in Cork could be €200k richer

The National Lottery is calling on Cork players to check their tickets as one unknown player is yet to claim more than €200,000 from this week's draw.

The National Lottery has issued a call to players across Cork as an unknown entrant won more than €200,000 in last night’s draw.

The lucky player, who is yet to claim their winnings, purchased their Quick Pick ticket on Thursday from the Texaco Service Station on the Model Farm Rd.

The player, who successfully matched five numbers and one Lucky Star, is entitled to €213,502 from the EuroMillions main draw.

The winning numbers were 1, 3, 11, 20, 43 and the two Lucky Stars were 2 and 11.

The National Lottery is now urging all players across Cork to check their tickets carefully and to contact the prize claims team to arrange collection of the prize winnings.

Another player in Wexford also won a large sum to the tune of €500,000.

Spokesperson for the National Lottery, Emma Monaghan said: “We’re over the moon to see two big wins from Wexford and Cork emerge from last night’s EuroMillions draw.

“It’s moments like these that remind us all of the excitement and possibility the games bring.

“So, to all our players, check your tickets very carefully – who knows, it could be you!”
