Robots took over Mahon Point Shopping Centre on Saturday afternoon, but it was cause for celebration rather than panic.

The local shopping centre is celebrating 20 years in business this month with a series of events to mark the milestone.

On Saturday, Mahon Point hosted Robot Realm which featured a host of robot-related family events and activities.

Speaking to The Echo, Mahon Point marketing manager Clare O’Neill said:

“Robots in Mahon Point is not something we have every week, and it was a fantastic event, especially for families.
