Munster Technological University has elected Dr Kapal Dev as the chair of an IEEE Consumer Technology Society (CTSoc) Technical Committee.

Munster Technological University has elected Dr Kapal Dev as the chair of an IEEE Consumer Technology Society (CTSoc) Technical Committee.

Following an election, lecturer Dr Dev is now the chairperson of a leading global forum, the Consumer Communications Networks and Connectivity (CCN) Technical Committee, with more than 5,000 members.

The CCN technical committee focuses on advancing communication networks and connectivity solutions that enhance consumer experiences for the betterment of humanity.

As part of his role, he will be responsible for driving academic excellence, leading the international committee that pioneers research in consumer communication networks, as well as collaborating with researchers and industry professionals worldwide.

Commenting on his appointment, Dr Dev said: “This recognition holds immense significance for me as it celebrates the collective spirit of collaboration, innovation, and community building.”
