Uisce Éireann recommend that the public allow three to four hours after the estimated restoration time for their supply to fully return.

Parts of a Cork town may suffer water supply disruptions on Tuesday afternoon, Uisce Éireann has warned.

The water utility company said that essential maintenance works are scheduled to take place in Kinsale on Tuesday afternoon, and are likely to cause some disruptions to local water supplies.

The works are part of Uisce Éireann’s ongoing national leaks reduction programme.

According to the company, essential maintenance works may cause supply disruptions to Barrack Hill, Farm Lane, Waterlands, Ardbrack Heights, Ringcurran Rise, Forthill, Haven Hill, Garraha, Knockduff, The Paddocks, Fort View, and Cluain Mara, in Kinsale and surrounding areas.

Works are scheduled to take place from 2pm until 6pm on 7 January.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.

Uisce Éireann said it recommended in both cases that the public should allow two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.

To access updates on these works, the public is invited to visit the Uisce Éireann website, water.ie, and enter in the search bar the reference: COR00086896.
