Water disruptions on Cork’s Northside next week

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.
Parts of Cork city’s northside may suffer water supply disruptions on Monday and Tuesday, Uisce Éireann has warned.
The water utility company said two separate rounds of works are scheduled to take place from Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon.
According to Uisce Éireann, the first round of works, which will entail hydrant installation and are part of its National Leakage Reduction Programme, is scheduled to be carried out from 9am until 1pm on Monday, January 6, and may cause supply disruptions to Mulberry Heights in Farranree and surrounding areas.
A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.

The second round of works is due to be caried out from 2pm until 6pm on Tuesday, January 7, and may cause supply disruptions to The Priory, Redemption Road and surrounding areas.
These works are also part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme and are described as essential maintenance.

Uisce Éireann said it recommended in both cases that the public should allow two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.
