Bus Éireann has announced disruptions to several Cork routes from this evening and tomorrow due the status red rain warning issued for Cork.

The warning is in effect from midnight tonight until 10am tomorrow.

In a statement Bus Éireann said the information provided by the forecaster will ‘likely impact a number of services’ in West Cork and some routes scheduled to operate between those times have been cancelled.

All other services in Cork are scheduled to operate as normal but are likely to be subject to delays.

The list of disruption are as follows:

Friday, November 22 Route 270:

Skibbereen / Killarney: 6pm from Killarney will operate to Kenmare. 

Killarney / Skibbereen: 9.40pm from Killarney cancelled

Saturday, November 23 

Route 236:

Bantry / Cork: 7am from Bantry cancelled 

Glengarriff / Cork: 9:35am from Glengarriff cancelled 

Cork / Castletownbere: 8.30am from Cork cancelled

Route 237:

Skibbereen / Cork: 6:45am from Skibbereen cancelled 

Goleen / Cork: 7:50am from Goleen cancelled

Route 270:

Killarney/Skibbereen: 9am from Killarney cancelled.

Skibbereen / Killarney: 6am from Skibbereen cancelled 

Bantry / Skibbereen: 8am from Bantry cancelled

Bus Éireann advises all intending passengers to check the service updates section of their website before travelling.

The statement continued to say: “The safety of our passengers and staff is of paramount importance to Bus Éireann and we would encourage all customers to plan their journeys in advance, allowing extra time for their journey, during this period of adverse weather.” 

“Bus Éireann apologises to customers for any inconvenience caused,” it finished.
