Brooke Daley Reidy (12), who was missing from her home in South Cork city since Saturday has been located safely, a garda spokesperson has confirmed. 

"Gardaí would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance," they added. 

Earlier: Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 12-year-old Brooke Daley Reidy, who is missing from her home in South Cork city since yesterday. 

Brooke is described as being approximately 5 foot 8 inches in height with a regular build, brown hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen at approximately 6:45pm yesterday evening. 

Brooke was wearing a black tracksuit with 'White Fox' across the front. 

She was also wearing white Nike Air Force One runners.

Anyone with information regarding Brooke’s whereabouts is asked to contact Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021 452 2000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
