In a heartwarming moment during Munster Technological University’s Autumn 2024 Conferrings, Hilary Cusack was conferred with her Master’s degree by her mother, MTU President Maggie Cusack.

Hilary completed the one-year Masters in Digital Marketing Strategy programme at MTU’s Bishopstown Campus, and particularly enjoyed the opportunity to put her knowledge and skills into practice working with a range of organisations including charities, SMEs and large retailers.

She said, “I am looking forward to using the skills that I’ve acquired during my degree as I start my marketing career. Today is a lovely, special day to celebrate with my family and friends.” Maggie Cusack said, “Conferring ceremonies are always very special as we celebrate the hard work and success of our graduates.

“Today is an exceptionally special day for me as my daughter is conferred with her Master’s degree from MTU. It’s not every Mum who gets to hand her daughter her degree.

“I offer my congratulations to everyone graduating from MTU, and today I share in the pride and joy of the thousands of parents, guardians, friends, and loved ones of the class of 2024.”
