The National Lottery’s winners' room was said to be "buzzing" today as four groups of winners – including two from Cork - collected prizes totalling €1,125,000 at Lottery HQ on Georges Quay in Dublin this afternoon.

One player took home €50,000, which they won on a Mega Money Multiplier from Corcoran's Centra in Rushbrooke in Cobh.

This is the second time the store has celebrated a big win in recent months.

Back in May, they sold a winning ticket, worth €1,005,000 in the EuroMillions ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ draw.

Another player from Cork collected €75,000 which they won on an All Cash Platinum scratch card purchased at JJ O'Driscoll Superstore in Ballinlough.

Also among the lucky winners was a Wexford man who collected his cheque for €500,000, which he won in the EuroMillions Plus draw on Friday, September 27 after playing online.

Finally taking home a cheque worth €500,000 was a family syndicate from Dublin.

The syndicate won the EuroMillions Plus Top Prize online in the October 4 draw.

Tonight’s Lotto jackpot rolls towards an estimated €4m.
