100 jobs planned as Workvivo by Zoom opens flagship Irish hub in Cork city

Workvivo by Zoom announced 100 Irish jobs today at the launch of its flagship engagement hub in Cork city.

The announcement of the roles, supported by IDA Ireland, will see new employees hired over the next two years.

The new positions will be primarily in product and engineering to invest in research and innovation and the majority will based in Cork with the opportunity also for remote working.

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke TD said: “The recent acquisition by Zoom has allowed Workvivo to significantly grow their innovative employee engagement platform, while keeping true to their own identity.

“I’m thrilled to hear that Cork city has been chosen as their flagship Irish hub, underscoring both the Irish Government and IDA’s commitment to regional investment.

“The creation of 100 jobs in the city is very welcome and will provide exciting opportunities for our skilled tech workforce."

European Commissioner-Designate for Democracy, Justice and the Rule of Law, Michael McGrath said: “I am delighted to celebrate the opening of Zoom’s flagship Irish engagement facility here in Cork city and I welcome the creation of an expected 100 jobs over the next two years.

“This is a further endorsement for Cork city and the wider south west region as a prime location for technology companies like Zoom.” 

Co-founder and CEO of Workvivo by Zoom, John Goulding, said: “It was so important to us that our new engagement hub would stay true to our DNA, while also setting us up for the next phase in our scaling journey as part of Zoom.

“We’ve been so fortunate to have hired truly world-class talent over the last few years in Ireland.

“Now, with the incredible support of the IDA, we’re excited to welcome more people into the Workvivo by Zoom team.” 

IDA Ireland executive director, Mary Buckley said: “Zoom’s decision to establish its first major hub in Cork is terrific news for the Southwest region and indeed the whole of Ireland.

“Zoom is attracted by the wealth of skilled and diverse talent across the region to support their research and innovation focus.

“I’d like to wish Zoom every success with this expansion.” 

Workvivo was founded in Cork in 2017 and was acquired by Zoom in 2023.
