Two men are due in court today in connection with an investigation into an aggravated burglary in Cork earlier this year.

As part of the investigation, the two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were arrested and charged.

They will appear before Cork District Court at 11.30am.

The incident occurred at a residence on Millerd St at approximately 6am on April 17.

Three occupants, two women and a man, who were in the house at the time of the incident, were injured.

The occupants were then taken to Cork University Hospital (CUH), where they received treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A sum of cash was also reported stolen from the residence following the incident.

A technical examination of the scene was later completed.
