A collision between two cars occurred just before 11pm last night, and a female passenger was taken to hospital, where her injuries are believed not to be serious.

A woman was hospitalised last night following a collision on the northside of Cork city, where one of the drivers left the scene.

A collision between two cars occurred just before 11pm last night, and a female passenger was taken to hospital, where her injuries are believed not to be serious.

A Garda spokesperson told The Echo, “Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the Ballyhooley Road, Cork City yesterday evening, Monday 23 September 2024.

“The collision involved two cars and occurred at approximately 10:45pm. One of the vehicles involved failed to remain at the scene.

“A female passenger of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital for consideration of treatment by medical personnel. No serious injuries have been reported at this time.”
