Cork’s rap sensations Kabin Crew continue to conquer all before them, with their latest adventure an appearance on tonight’s Late Late Show.

The Knocknaheeny superstars will team up with the Lisdoonvarna Crew to perform their viral hit ‘The Spark’, which has topped 1bn views, and they will chat with host Patrick Kielty about their recent success at summer festivals including Electric Picnic.

‘The Spark’ — described by The Guardian as “one of the songs of the summer that made the internet vibrate with joy” — is a collaboration between Cork rappers aged nine and upward, Kabin Studio founder and creative director Garry McCarthy, and the Lisdoonvarna Crew.

Their appearance on the Late Late — which returns to RTÉ One at 9.35pm tonight — is only the latest step for a phenomenon which has taken the world by storm.

Also joining Patrick Kielty in Montrose for the return of the world’s second longest-running chat show will be four-time golf major winner Rory McIlroy, home to play at the Irish Open and to discuss special project he is supporting across Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

The show will welcome home from Paris Olympians and Paralympians, while comedian John Bishop will be talking all about his eventful summer, from touring Ireland on a motorbike to getting lost in translation in the United States.

Folk music royalty John Sheahan and Phil Coulter join The Late Late Show to exclusively unveil John’s new stage show The Dubliners Encore. The new group will perform a rousing medley of The Dubliners hits.
