Housed in a 19th century former maltings building on Wandesford Quay, alongside fellow arts organisations Backwater Artists Group and Cork Printmakers, Lavit Gallery features a large main gallery as well as spectacular vault spaces which are being used to show a stop-motion animation that forms part of the exhibition.

Cork’s Lavit Gallery will be participating in Culture Night next week, offering two free tours of its current exhibition, ‘Civilisation Blooming’ at 6pm and 7pm.

Cork-based artists Deirdre Frost and Seiko Hayase have collaborated in producing a cross-cultural exhibition ‘Civilisation Blooming’, a project that sees the two artists venture into new media and establish a synergistic practice.
