A new art exhibition featuring 30 works from various artists is due to open in the grounds of Blarney Castle next week.

‘Blarney Gardens Through the Artist’s Eye’, which will run from August 27 to 29, is a celebration of contemporary artists, who will be exhibiting works inspired by the gardens at Blarney Castle.

Curated by Andrea Jameson, the exhibition will feature more than 30 works by renowned artists, including Peter Curling, Lynne Stringer, Yanny Peters, and Blarney Castle estate head gardener, Adam Whitbourn.

‘Through the Artist’s Eye’ exhibitions have previously been held at a number of locations, including the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin, Kilmacurragh in Wicklow; Tourin House and Gardens in Waterford; Burtown House and Gardens in Kildare; and Birr Castle Demesne in Offaly.

The exhibition, in the stable yard tackroom, will open to invited guests from 6pm on August 27, and to the public from August 28, during Blarney Castle estate opening hours.
