Soccer legend Roy Keane has teamed up with the Local Enterprise Office (LEO), Cork City to celebrate 10 years of making an impact on start-ups and SMEs on Leeside.

Keane will be joined by GAA stars Anna Geary and Tomás Mulcahy at The Everyman this Friday between 10am and 12pm for a panel discussion on ‘Developing a team for a Successful Business’.

A second panel discussion on ‘Networking for Business Success’ will feature Wedding Dates founder Ciara Crossan, Emma Coffey of FinalBend and David Walsh of SmartRoutes.

Head of Enterprise at LEO, Cork City Dr Niall O’Keeffe said: “Local Enterprise Office, Cork City offers start-ups a wide range of supports and we are there to help entrepreneurs manage the risk as they develop and grow their business.

Delighted

“We are delighted to be in a position to support so many people and it is really exciting to have a look back and see all of the success stories that we have been part of. It is great to have Cork legend Roy Keane at our event who knows full well the ingredients required for success,” he added. “He is a notable example of how focus, commitment, resilience, leadership, and hard work can lead to success.

“We look forward to meeting entrepreneurs, whether they are starting out or are ready to take their business to the next level, at our event this Friday.”

LEO, Cork City has supported more than 16,500 people through training and mentoring during the past decade with almost 900 new jobs created through financial supports.

The organisation has also supported businesses with Lean and Green consultancy and more than 1,100 businesses availing of the trading online voucher.

The event to mark the 10 year anniversary will be hosted by broadcaster and communications specialist Jonathan Healy.

Entry to the event is strictly over 18s and tickets, which cost €10, can be purchased online via the LEO website: https://www.localenterprise.ie.
