Uisce Éireann working to restore water to parts of East Cork

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water supply as quickly as possible to areas in Youghal following a burst water main.
Areas that are affected include the Golf Links road, Carleton Village, Knockaverry and surrounds.
Dedicated water service crews have been mobilised and repairs are expected to be completed by 7pm, with normal water supply due to return two to three hours after to all customers affected by the unplanned outage.
Clearly signposted traffic management measures will be in place until the outage has been resolved.
Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann Cormac Bergin said: “The repairs are being conducted as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption to the area and restore water for all customers.
“We understand the inconvenience unplanned outages can have on customers and we appreciate your patience as we work to return the water supply to homes and businesses as quickly as possible.”
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann will receive direct communications from Irish Water regarding planned and unplanned outages that are due to last more than four hours.
