A Cork hotel group has announced that it intends to hire 40 people over the coming weeks.

Trigon Hotels said it has a wide range of positions available including in the areas of sales and marketing, food and beverage, and accommodation at the Metropole Hotel in Cork city and at the Cork International Hotel in the Cork Airport Business Park.

The vacancies in the Metropole Hotel and the Cork International Hotel are full and part-time roles, and the company has said all new recruits will be offered competitive rates of pay, along with training and opportunities for career development within the group.

A recruitment open day will be held in the Metropole Hotel on Wednesday, March 27, from 2pm to 7pm, and applicants are advised by the company to bring their curriculum vitae with them.

Trigon Hotels has this year and last year been certified as a ‘great place to work’ following Trust Index employee experience surveys.

Kathleen Linehan, strategic director of human resources at Trigon Hotels, said the group would offer new employees full training and a range of benefits, including pension and healthcare contributions, health and wellbeing support, and competitive rates of pay.

“There is also a chance to progress in your career and we have seen many team members rise through the ranks to managerial roles.

“Trigon Hotels recent certification as a great place to work highlights the efforts that are made to ensure all team members are supported in their work and we look forward to welcoming new members to our team,” Ms Linehan said.
