Storyteller Taffy to visit two Cork libraries

CORK County Council’s Library and Arts Services is set to host world-renowned storyteller, Taffy Thomas for two public speaking events on Wednesday.

Mr Thomas will visit Passage West Library at 11am, followed by an event in Cobh Library at 2pm. Both events are free to the public and no booking is required.

Mr Thomas will be joined by his friends Jimmy Crowley and Eve Telford, who will share songs and folklore with the audience at Cobh Library.

After a major stroke at the age of 36, Mr Thomas returned to his love of storytelling — firstly as a form of speech therapy, and then as a new career.

The Mayor of the County of Cork, councillor Frank O’Flynn, said they are honoured to have Taffy Thomas visit the two libraries ,“where he will share stories that will open another world to the audience.”
