“Every cent counts” was the comment from Gardaí after they seized €670,000.40 in cash at a location in Dublin yesterday as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of controlled drugs Cork.
The cash was seized after a vehicle was stopped in the Mespil Road area of Dublin 4 on Tuesday morning.
“Every cent counts,” said a post on the Garda Síochána Dublin Facebook page showing the cash seized down to the last 40c.
“This seizure is as a result of our ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs by the Divisional Drugs Unit in Midleton Co. Cork with the support of the Serious Crime Unit based in Donnybrook.
“One male (30s) was arrested and is detained for questioning at a South Dublin Garda Station - he can be held for up to seven days.”
