The chair of the MTU 5km race committee, Brendan Deane, said the race is open to staff, students, and the wider community. This year’s course will be different to previous races, as MTU’s outdoor track at the Bishopstown campus is currently being re-laid.

“It starts on the MTU grounds and it goes in around the Curraheen River Walk in Bishopstown, and comes back then into our campus,” said Mr Deane.

Registration is on the day at the MTU Arena from 8.30am, before the race commences at 10am.

The first 400 people to register will receive a free towel.

The cost to enter for those registered with the BHAA is €5, while registration costs €10 for those who are not registered with the organisation.
