A CORK woman who was subjected to a terrifying stalking ordeal is set to feature in an upcoming documentary about the devastating impacts of stalking as well as the creation of a standalone stalking offence she helped bring into effect.
Una Ring is among the contributors in Stalked, a new documentary airing on Virgin Media One next week.
Ms Ring shares the harrowing ordeal she experienced at the hands of former work colleague James Steele.
Ms Ring, along with fellow stalking survivor Eve McDowell — who also features in the documentary — courageously championed for the urgent need for stalking-specific legislation to protect victims.
The upcoming documentary also features Dublin native Jarlath Rice, another stalking victim, and includes insights from Justice Minister Helen McEntee and leading psychologist Dr Ronan McIvor.
Stalked was directed and produced by Alan Bradley for Alleycats Films.
The documentary airs on Monday, February 12, at 9pm.
