Hotel worker heralded for her Vienna Woods role

A LOCAL hotel worker has earned herself the title of ‘Employee of the Year’ at a prestigious event held at the Kingsley Hotel.

Chloe Twomey, who is head of front office and reservations standards and procedures at Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel, has been announced as the 23/24 Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) Cork Branch ‘Employee of the Year’.

Ms Twomey initially joined Vienna Woods Hotel in Glanmire as a receptionist in 2021. She later progressed to head of front office and reservations standards and procedures in May of the following year. Chloe’s colleagues commended her for always being “willing to share knowledge with her teammates and going the extra mile to make guests’ stays special”.

She is now looking forward to representing Vienna Woods at the upcoming National IHF Employee of the Year Awards in February.

Meanwhile, a Rising Star Award was presented to Cian Daly, who is the head bartender and bar supervisor at Hotel Isaacs. Receptionist at The Old Bank Townhouse, Jude Ward, came home with the customer service award.
