THE Cork-based production team behind the successful RTÉ show Cheap European Homes has put a call out for house hunters looking to relocate abroad to take part in a new series of the programme.
AV3 / Cameo Productions wants to hear from people with interesting and unique stories, who are looking to leave their lives behind and relocate to a dream destination in mainland Europe.
Following a similar format to the hit RTÉ TV show Cheap Irish Homes, Cheap European Homes sees presenter Maggie Molloy enlisting the help of local architects and engineers to select the properties for house hunters around Europe, in countries such as France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and elsewhere.
Participants are also offered advice on planning laws and taxes in these countries.
Season one of the programme was a six-part series that saw Ms Molloy scout out properties in France, Spain and Portugal.
Each episode featured three separate properties, some of which needed more work while others were in walk-in condition.
Every episode in the upcoming season will also feature Irish people who have already relocated abroad, and who will share their stories about this experience.
“Viewers loved season one of Cheap European Homes, and I think it made people realise that the dream of relocating to beautiful places in France, Spain, Portugal and more can become a reality at an affordable price,” CEO of Cork-based production company AV3 / Cameo Productions Michael Lynch said.
“Maggie is already looking forward to meeting a new group of home hunters in season two, and can offer invaluable advice in tandem with local experts. It’s a great opportunity for property seekers who dream of a life in the sun.”
The team at Cheap European Homes wants to hear from people who are actively looking to relocate abroad and who are willing to move.
Anyone interested in taking part in the new series is asked to send their details to casting@av3.ie.
The closing date for applications is Friday, January 26.
