Directions still awaited from DPP in case of man accused of Cork burglaries
Judge Mary Dorgan adjourned the case until January 16 for directions.
DIRECTIONS are still awaited from the Director of Public Prosecutions on the case against a man accused of carrying out several burglaries in Cork city last October.
The matter relates to charges faced at Cork District Court by 34-year-old John Campion of St. Vincent’s hostel, Anglesea Terrace, Cork.
Sergeant John Kelleher said at Cork District Court, On the sergeant’s application, Judge Mary Dorgan adjourned the case until January 16 for directions to be obtained from the DPP in the various cases.
John Campion faces burglary charges that relate to a short period between October 7 and 11, 2023.
He is charged with burglary at the Raven Bar on October 7 and again on October 9.
He is accused of burglary at a property at Mary Street on October 7 and again at the same property on October 10.
Mr Campion is accused of burglary at St. John’s College on October 11 when there was a theft of a computer from a classroom.
He is accused of burglary at a nurses’ office of Mercy University Hospital on October 10 and finally, a burglary the following day at Fr Rock’s on Matthew Street.
