Popular newsagents Twilight News has announced its decision to close its stores in Cork after many years in business.

Popular newsagents Twilight News has announced its decision to close its stores in Cork after many years in business.

Twilight News operates three shops in the city centre – on Patrick St, Paul St and Parnell Place.

In a post on Facebook announcing the decision, Twilight News said:

“After 12 years in the heart of the city centre, we feel it's time for us to close our beloved Twilight News shops.

“As we close the doors of our three stores for the last time, we carry countless memories of a great 12 years in the heart of the city centre.

“Thank you to all our loyal customers for supporting our family-run business, all our staff, past and present, and the many friends we made along the way.” 

The business wished its “fantastic staff the best for the future” saying they made Twilight News “the happy and vibrant place it was”.
