MIDLETON Chamber of Commerce has been working hard to create initiatives to help boost trade and footfall in the town since it was hit by flooding in October.

Following the devastation caused to many businesses in the town, Midleton Chamber of Commerce is encouraging people to shop local and support businesses that were affected.

A Midleton Christmas will see the town transformed into a winter wonderland of local delights today and tomorrow. People are invited to enjoy leisurely late-night shopping today and all-day shopping on Saturday, with discounts offered in selected shops.

Hands-on workshops will also be available, such as crafting wreaths with Paper Daisy and painting ceramic decorations with Susan Herlihy. There will be carol singers, and a Santa experience will take place on Saturday.

“Our goal is to encourage people to come and shop in Midleton and support these local businesses, whether that’s through retail or dining or drinking in the town,” said Niamh Hegarty of Midleton Chamber of Commerce.
