Cork-born singer-songwriter and RedFM presenter Stephanie Rainey has released a new song, ‘Woman’, in tribute to her mother’s courageous battle with cancer.

With over 10m views on Tik Tok ahead of its release, the song is dedicated to all the powerful and amazing women in our lives.

The track follows up the phenomenal success of recent singles ‘Remember Who Your Friends Are’, ‘No Cowboy’ and ‘Ross & Rachel’.

In 2015, Stephanie emerged onto the music scene with ‘Please Don’t Go,’ a song dedicated to her one-year-old nephew, Fionn, who died from meningitis. This year ‘Please Don’t Go’ has resurfaced after going viral on TikTok, which catapulted Stephanie to the top of the Singer-Songwriter Chart, claiming the number one spot in Canada and number five in the United States.

She was nominated for Grammy consideration for her 2023 song ‘Breathe Easy’, written about a girl named Ciara from Stephanie’s hometown who lost her battle with cystic fibrosis 10 days after giving birth to her son.
