New jobs for Hollyhill after €2m SuperValu investment

FOOD retailer SuperValu has launched its new-look supermarket in Hollyhill, following a significant €2m investment.

Singleton’s SuperValu Hollyhill currently employs 60 people, and the store revamp will create 10 additional jobs in Hollyhill and the surrounding areas.

The new-look store offers an extended range of products, featuring a fresh deli counter and off-licence, alongside an enhanced bakery section, a prepared meal range zone, and a fresh Moo’d Irish ice-cream counter.

Beyond providing a more spacious shopping environment, the store is committed to sustainability. The Singleton’s SuperValu team has taken extensive measures to ensure environmental consciousness in the new store design, incorporating LED lights and state-of-the-art refrigeration. These initiatives are projected to result in a 40% reduction in energy consumption throughout the premises.

Supporting local is of key importance to the team in the store, and customers will be able to try out products from local producers in a Taste of Local area.

Singleton’s SuperValu has supported the Hollyhill community for 18 years, including local charities, community groups, schools, and sports teams, including St Vincent’s Hurling and Football Club, Castleview, and St Anne’s Pitch and Putt Club.
