Extended Christmas opening for car parks and park & ride

DETAILS of the seasonal opening hours for Cork city centre car parks and Cork Park & Ride sites have been released.

During December, the car parks at Paul Street and North Main Street, as well as the Park & Ride at Kinsale Road and the temporary County Hall Park & Ride, will be expanding their opening hours to allow people more time for Christmas gift shopping.

Both the Paul Street and North Main Street car parks will open early at 7.30am on December 3, 10, 17, and 24 and on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. They will close at 6.30pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day, St Stephen’s Day, and New Year’s Day.

The Park & Ride on Kinsale Road will see its opening hours extended to 10pm on each Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening up to December 23.

It will be open on Sundays up to December 17 from 11am to 8.30pm, and will close on Christmas Eve at 6.30pm. It will be closed on Christmas Day, St Stephen’s Day, and New Year’s Day, with normal opening hours resuming on January 2.

The temporary Park & Ride from County Hall to Sheares Street will operate on Saturdays December 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 9.30am to 8.30pm.

It will also operate on Sundays December 3, 10, and 17 from 10.30am to 8.30pm and on Christmas Eve, from 9.30am to 6.30pm.
