Exciting Festive line-up of concerts at intimate Ballycotton venue

Jerry Fish will ring in the New Year at Sea Church in Ballycotton with his spectacular 'Electric Sideshow'.

THE intimate Sea Church in Ballycotton will play host to a melting pot of talent this Christmas, with exciting musical acts covering every genre from grunge to pop.

ABBA tribute act Super Troupers, Lisa Canny, and Jack L will be among those gracing the stage during December. Jerry Fish will also join the line up as he brings his Electric Sideshow to the east Cork venue for a spectacular New Year’s Eve extravaganza.

Mayo native Lisa Canny will perform at the venue on Saturday, December 16. An All-Ireland champion banjo and harp player, the musician is best known for her unique covers and live performances.

The Super Troupers are currently preparing to make their return to Ballycotton on December 21, with their take on some well known ABBA classics.

Jack Lukeman (aka Jack L) is set to attract music fans with his ‘Northern Lights — Songs of the Winter Solstice’, show for two nights on December 22 and 23.

Christmas at Sea Church will be rounded off with a major New Year’s Eve party, as Jerry Fish and The Electric Sideshow transforms the venue into a circus wonderland. The night will kick off at 9pm when guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly, followed by a performance from folk duo Dark & Lively. Jerry Fish will have the honour of ringing in 2024 with his back catalogue of ‘greatest hits’.

Sea Church general manager John Kidney promised a festive offering that is “eclectic and bound to draw crowds”.

“Our Christmas schedule is jam-packed with fantastic music. We’re especially proud of our line-up of Irish acts, from the supremely talented Lisa Canny to the legendary Jack L who’s performing here for two nights,” said Mr Kidney.

“We also have some great tribute acts, on December 8, Karma Police — a Tribute to Radiohead, and on December 9, a Garth Brooks tribute act. New Year’s Eve with Jerry Fish & The Electric Sideshow promises to be really special and a brilliant way to ring in the new year in Ballycotton,” he added.
