Cork man crowned as Mr Ireland says he hopes to use title to empower others

Glenn Williamson, aged 28, from Togher was crowned Mr Ireland at the contest at the weekend which made a welcome return this year, having not been held since 2018.
Jasmine Gerhardt, a 25-year-old law graduate from Dublin with a master’s degree in Human Rights and European Union Law was crowned Miss Ireland on the same night.
Glenn said he was thrilled to be crowned Mr Ireland and the Cork man was genuinely surprised with his win despite his many accomplishments.
He has a first-class honours degree in Commerce from UCC.
He also has caps for Ireland in basketball and has made many TV appearances including on Blind Date UK and First Dates Ireland.
Glenn has 10 years of modelling experience with appearances on RTÉ, BBC, Virgin Media, and Channel 5.
He has modelled for Armani and also for fitness magazines has won various physique competitions.
The Cork man is a qualified personal trainer and lifeguard, accredited Life Coach, Salesperson and founder of GW Alpha Coaching.
As well as his interest in physical wellbeing, he is also a mental health advocate and has given many talks on his experiences with mental health and how people can apply good habits and routines in their lives.
Glenn regularly helps out with local charities.
As Mr Ireland, he said he hopes to use his title to empower others in numerous positive and practical ways for the year ahead.
The Togher man said he is looking forward to representing Ireland in the televised Mr World Finals next year.
