THE Metropole Hotel has signed up for the Chef Network’s Open Kitchen Week 2023, which will give an insight into the job of a chef.
The programme is aimed at school students and school leavers, people looking to return to work, student chefs, and people who influence career and study choices.
The hotel’s group executive chef, Alexandre Petit, and his team, will work with the participants to show them how they create unique food experiences.
Budding chefs will get to meet the team at the Metropole, see what their jobs involve, and engage in simple activities alongside them.
Mr Petit explained: “We will open our kitchen to the aspiring chefs who want to discover the world of a restaurant kitchen.
“They will get a real feel for life in the kitchen of the Metropole Hotel, which is one of the busiest kitchens in Cork city, take part in the action, and feel the buzzing environment.”
The programme will run from Wednesday, November 8, to Saturday, November 11, with restaurants all over Ireland also taking part.
