Brian Dillons, one of the oldest GAA clubs in Cork, is to host a major fundraiser next month to help raise funds towards the development of an astroturf pitch and hurling wall at the club.

It is organising a special bingo and music night at Clayton’s Silver Springs Hotel on November 25.

A DJ will be playing 80s and 90s music throughout the evening and those attending are invited to don their finest 80s garb for the event, with a prize for the best dressed.

Posting details of the special event on Facebook, the club encouraged people to dust off their leg warmers and grab their neon attire for the night.

“It’s not just about having a blast — your ticket purchase will also contribute to an important cause.

“The club is in dire need of a ball wall for our juveniles, and the proceeds from this unforgettable party night will go towards making that purchase a reality.

“So, grab your friends, get your tickets, and let’s party together while making a difference for our beloved club.”

Tickets are priced at €25 which includes entry and bingo books for all five games.

A top prize of €1,000 will be up for grabs on the night.

Entry is strictly for people aged 18 and older.

Doors will open at 7pm with the first game at 8pm sharp.

Tickets are available online from www.klubfunder.com/Clubs/Brian_Dillons/TicketSales however, people are advised that they will need to collect physical tickets for the event from Brian Dillons GAA Clubhouse on Thursday evenings (between 7:30-9:00pm).

Tickets can also be purchased in the club bar on Thursday nights.

Only physical tickets will be accepted on the night.
