Host of free events to take place in Cork city and county for Culture Night

A whole array of events, exhibitions, tours, music and dance will take place across Cork city and county this evening to celebrate Culture Night.
In Cork city, special free buses with performers on board will be transporting people to the many different locations around the city that are playing host to various events on the night.
St Peter's on North Main Street will hold art workshops and live performances from the Romanian and Mexican communities in Cork.
People are invited to walk the walls of Elizbeth Fort with a live performance by the Barrack Street Band on stage at the fort from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
Cork City Hall will host ‘Faoi Choim Na HOíche’, a celebration of the mesmerising interplay between sound, vision, and movement.
The English Market will have its many stalls open until 9pm with live music on the night.
At the Marina Market, performers from Riuchi circus will put on a fire show at 9pm and Circus Factory will be putting on a show at 10pm.

There will also be a unique cultural trail of public artworks throughout the city centre, an informative bat workshop at Tramore Valley Park, a demonstration of night sky culture at Blackrock Castle Observatory, a look into the art of distillation at Rebel City Distillery, and many other events across the city.
In West Cork, there will be a cultural cycle around Skibbereen, an intergenerational ukulele lesson and session will take place at Clonakilty Library, a culture trail will take place from Bantry Library to the Wolftone Square, an Irish music and song session in Ballydehob, and a showcasing of young creators’ talents at Riverview Shopping Centre in Bandon.
In East Cork, there will be a guided tour around the original Midleton Distillery, a trail of art and culture in Midleton, free tours of Youghal Clock Tower, and a tapas evening at Team M Wine Bar, as well as many more events.
In North Cork, there will be a historic walk through the town of Doneraile and traditional music and Ukrainian folk songs on the main street, an outdoor cinema night at Mallow Castle, a talk on the military history of Fermoy, and many more events.
In Carrigaline, there will be a parade featuring a 40ft dragon accompanied by one hundred children, parents, community groups, musicians and dancers, and in Kinsale there will be an art class for children, a performance and exhibition of the Korean martial art of Kuk Sool Won, and Kinsale Youth Theatre taster workshops, among others.
