Public get to ‘dance with the stars’ in Cork city

THE people of Cork got the chance yesterday to learn some ballroom dance moves from the Dancing With The Stars cast.

The hit show is now reaching the final few weeks which are critical for performance as well as voting for the dancers and their pro-dancers.

Since the start of the show, contestant and Olympic Athlete, Robert Heffernan and his professional dancer, Emily Barker have been training and rehearsing in Cork so that Rob could have some of his training sessions in Cork to be near his wife Marian and his children.

Yesterday evening, Emily Barker and Curtis Pritchard who are both professional dancers from Dancing with The Stars Ireland, hosted a complimentary dance class in the Metropole on McCurtain Street where a small group from the public got the chance to perfect their Cha-Cha-Cha and Foxtrot.

The event also included a questions and answers session with Rob.
