Undertones, Frank and Walters to play at Indiependence

Cork band, The Frank and Walters, will play Indiependence 2019. The Undertones have also been added to the line-up.

IRISH music legends The Undertones and the Frank and Walters are among the latest additions to the line-up for Indiependence 2019.

The festival returns to Mitchelstown on August 2 to 4, 2019.

Organisers announced Bastille and Biffy Clyro as their headline acts for next year’s festival in recent weeks, adding a host of new names last night.

UK Alt-rockers Nothing But Thieves will make their first appearance at the festival, with All Tvvins, Hannah Wants, Disciples and Maxi Jazz of dance music legends Faithless all added too.

Wild Youth, Le Boom, Ryan McMullan, Chasing Abbey, Laoise, AE Man, Tim Chadwich, Vulpynes, Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam and Only The Poets complete the latest announcement.

Next summer will be the tenth time the festival has taken place at Deer Farm in Mitchelstown, with some 15,000 people set to attend. The festival has hosted dozens of household names over the years, including the likes of Public Enemy, Manic Street Preachers, Hozier, Walking on Cars and Primal Scream.

Weekend camping tickets are currently on sale at €139 and will increase to €149 from January 1.

Meanwhile, the Quarter Block Party festival has also unveiled its full line up for 2019. The festival will return to North Main Street from February 8 to 10 for its fifth year.

It will also expand to New areas for the first time, with events taking place on Douglas Street too.

As ever, the festival boasts an eclectic mix of music and art, including Lord’s of Strut, Hilary Woods, Shookrah and Landless.
