Listen: Staff and readers talk to RTÉ about the Echo's big change

From Monday March 4 the Evening Echo becomes the Echo, and will hit the shelves bright and early every morning.

Our editor Maurice Gubbins and other staff members chatted to Graham Clifford about the changes for RTÉ Drivetime. Mr Clifford also took to the streets of the city to discuss the changes with Echo vendor David Hogan and some loyal readers.

"The important thing is our paper will be on the shelves earlier, and the content will be the same," Mr Gubbins said. "Our website echolive.ie has had major investment recently, it is going tremendously well and we have up-to-the-minute news for Cork, seven days a week.

"We are there for the people of Cork."
