Photos of a recently married couple's big day were retrieved by Cork Gardaí in a stolen camera.

Killarney photographer Konrad Paprocki told Gardaí he was hugely relieved to get his valuable equipment back and to be able to return the photos to the happy couple.

Mr. Paprocki said “I am so happy to have this back, as on Saturday we had covered a wedding and the photographs from that wedding were on the memory card in the camera. Now we can make this new couple very happy by giving them the memories of their special day!”

As part of an intelligence-led operation by Gardaí in Killarney and Dingle, the camera equipment was recovered along with a large quantity of power tools and other electronic items during the week in Cork.
