‘Young Offenders’ were busy making a scene on North Main Street
The cast and crew of The Young Offenders caused a stir across Cork city yesterday as filming continues for season two of the hit TV show.
Cork’s favourite troublemakers Conor and Jock were spotted on North Main St and the Bridewell Garda Station during the day.
The cast and crew drew adoring crowds as they filmed the new series which will hit our screens later this year.
The show has been a commercial and critical success both here and abroad, picking up six nominations and two wins at last year’s Irish Film and Television Awards, as well as nominations for British and European awards.
Filming for season two began in recent weeks and The Young Offenders cast has been spotted at various locations including St Patrick’s St and Hawthorn Mews estate on the northside.
The show stars Chris Walley as Jock O’Keeffe, Alex Murphy as Conor McSweeney, and PJ Gallagher as the boys’ school principal.
The Young Offenders movie, released in 2016, was a huge hit here and further afield.
