Formal identification has yet to take place but officials said all search operations for Kodie have now been stood down.

The alarm was raised by his family on Wednesday night and emergency services and fishermen have come together in a major search of the waters of Dunmanus Bay in a bid to locate him.

Members of An Garda Síochána, members of the Coast Guard, Irish Naval Service, Civil Defence and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution took part in searches in the Dunmanus Bay area.
