A popular pub has announced new hours.

One of the city’s most popular beer gardens in changing its opening hours to accommodate local residents.

Tom Barry’s on Barrack Street, known for its expansive beer garden and delicious pizza has announced it will be shutting its beer garden earlier than normal from now on.

The beer garden, which includes a newly installed coffee dock will now close at 10pm from Thursday to Sunday and 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

In a post on Facebook the popular pub wrote: “Though we realise that this may cause some inconveniences to our customers, it is also important to us that we respect our neighbours.” Tom Barry’s assured their customers that the inside bar will remain open until normal closing time.

“You will, of course, be more than welcome to join us inside the bar for drinks and chats, and smoking will be permitted to the front of our building.

“Thank you in advance for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you all soon."
